Costa Rican women in Climate Change

Last february, the first assembly of Costa Rican women in Climate Change was held in order to elect a group of representatives for the Citizens´ Consultive Council for Climate Change (5C).
Within short time they established a blog for gender related topics of climate change (https://5cmujeres.wordpress.com/, in spanish), and on 13th March, they will constitute an important voice of the civil society in the first session of the 5C council.
5C is one of the Costa Rican committments for the NDC implementation supported by GIZ. A broad representation of civil society organizations is meant to serve as a participative forum to discuss, analyze and propose Climate Action.
For the upcoming women´s march this thursday, “Mujeres en el Cambio Climático” plan to establish a climate change specific group of manifestators.
