GG1– Gender equality is an important and deliberate objective

The Selection Committee of the GIZ Gender Competition, Tanja Gönner, Chair of the GIZ Management Board and the GIZ Corporate Jury on the occasion of the Gender Competition 2020, awarded the team submission “Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative‘s Women Mobilize Women” by the Sector Project Sustainable Mobility in the category GG1 due to its exceptional approach regarding the promotion of gender equality, the First Place in the Gender Competition 2020!

Gender Competition 2020 – Runners Up

Furthermore, the best 10 teams presented their contributions in an exhibition during the Gender Award Ceremony. In addition to the Award Winners of the GG1 category, the following initiatives presented their outstanding contributions: “Strengthening Gender Equality at the local Level and contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)”, “Gender Mainstreaming into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC)”, “Making Life better for Girls and Women in Nepal – Month after Month”, “The Colors of Post-Conflict”, “Gender Toolbox for Female Inclusion in Municipalities”, “Competitive Cashew Initiative (ComCashew)”, “The Power of Statistics”
