Event Documentation:
Following the invitation by Petra Dachtler (Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy in Tunis) some 80 representatives of Tunisian civil society organisations, other embassies and UN agencies came to watch the BMZ movie on economic participation of women in Tunisia. Hosted by the Goethe Institute Tunis and after a brief presentation by GIZ Tunisia’s Gender Focal Persons, the invitees learned more on the principles of gender mainstreaming in German development cooperation and on GIZ Tunisia’s gender-related activities. They also had the chance to engage in discussions with GIZ staff working for those projects shown in the movie. An atmospheric evening that fitted well with the international women’s day and helped to build new relations amongst the broad variety of actors in the field of gender equality and women empowerment in Tunisia.
